Trip from Fes to Marrakech (3 days / 2 nights)
Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga – Todra Gorge
Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh
In the morning we take of, direction south, through the middle Atlas Mountains, we pass the cedar forests of Azrou, and some Berber villages. We continue direction Sahara Desert. On our way, we stop for lunch in the city of Midelt, famous for his fossils and minerals. We travel on across the mountains and enjoy the beautiful views of the Ziz Valley with his palm trees and Kasbahs. At About 16:00, we arrive at Merzouga where you can make a camel trip through the desert. Afterwards you can enjoy a traditional Berber Tagine. You will sleep in a Berber Tent under a starry sky.
We wake up early in the morning to see a spectacular sunrise over the dunes; we go back to the hotel for breakfast and a quick shower. Then we take of to the Todra Gorge through Tinjdad. A walk in the oasis of de Todra Valley, lunch in a local restaurant before we head of for our accommodation in de Dades Gorge. We have dinner and stay the night in Dades.
After breakfast we leave for the Atlas Mountains through Ouarzazate. We pass de pink valley and the Skoura Oases. After a visit to the famous Atlas Film studio and the most beautiful Kasbah of Morocco, Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou – a Unesco World Heritage site – and continue to Marrakesh.
